§ 74-5. Liability insurance.

Before a license is issued to any owner of a taxicab or automobile for hire, the city council shall require the applicant to place in the hands of the city clerk a public liability and property damage policy with some recognized insurance company which is satisfactory to the city council with the minimum personal liability of $5,000.00 for any one person, $20,000.00 for any one accident, and the minimum property damage allowed of $10,000.00 for any one accident.
