It shall be illegal and subject to punishment as provided by law for any person, other
than authorized city personnel to alter, operate or tamper with, or for any person
to maliciously or willfully break, damage, destroy, uncover or deface any structure
appurtenance or equipment which is a part of the city water system.
In that regard, any individual who removes or causes the removal of the lock from
the water meter, damages or causes damage to the water meter, or otherwise misuses
the water meter shall pay to city a $250.00 fee plus materials and labor to replace
the damaged city property.
