Generally.
No person shall conduct a garage sale on any lot, parcel, or tract of land without
first obtaining a permit therefore from the city clerk and the permit may be obtained
by requesting the same in writing from the city clerk. All permits shall specify the
time and place of such garage sale. The permit provided for herein shall be displayed
on the premises at which the sale is being conducted.
Neighborhood permits.
An authorized representative of a neighborhood may apply for a permit from the city
clerk for a $25.00 neighborhood permit, which would collectively authorize all homeowners
within such neighborhood to conduct a garage sale on the day(s) authorized in the
permit. Each neighborhood within the city shall be limited to one such permit per
year.
