Upon those streets, or public parking lots which have been signed or marked for parking,
no person shall stop, stand, park, or operate any motor vehicle in violation of such
signs or markings. For the purpose of this chapter white lines will be used to mark
parking spaces, yellow or green lines will be used by the city to mark roads, curbs,
streets or areas where parking is prohibited.
