§ 3-1. Code violation and utility charge research fee.

  • The city shall impose a code violation and utility charge research fee on all requests to the city for this information in support of real property pending transactions. The request may be received from persons who are party to the proposed transaction, by or through a licensed title company. A reasonable fee shall be determined by the city manager or his/her designee and assessed by the city billing department for each request for information. The fee shall be payable at the time of the request. The city utility and billing department shall collect the fee and provide a paid receipt to the applicant or requester. The city senior code enforcement officer shall be responsible for processing the requests under this section and ensure the fees are paid prior to servicing requests.
