§ 32-05. Authority.

This code shall be administered and enforced by the fire official designated by the city manager. For purposes of this code, this fire official is called the "fire marshal". He shall meet those qualifications as set forth by the city as being necessary to effectively administer this code.

This act shall be deemed an exercise of the police powers of the city for the preservation and protection of the public health, peace, safety, and welfare, and all the provisions of the City Code shall be liberally construed for that purpose.
