§ 26-43. Designation of code enforcement officers.

(a)

For the purpose of this article, the city manager hereby designates as a code enforcement officer any code enforcement officer/inspector, sworn law enforcement officers and fire inspectors who shall have the power and authority to enforce the codes, land development regulations, resolutions and ordinances of the city.

(b)

Except as to sworn law enforcement officers, designation as a code enforcement officer/inspector does not confer the power of arrest nor subject the code enforcement officer to the provisions of F.S. §§ 943.085—943.255, or as may be renumbered.
