§ 4.4. Time for filing petition for candidacy.

  • All petitions for candidacy shall be filed with the Clerk of the City of Minneola between noon on August 8 prior to the date of the general election, or, if applicable, the special election, and by noon on August 15 prior to the date of the general election, or, if applicable, the special election. If either August 8 or August 15 should fall on a Saturday, Sunday, legal holiday, or on a day City Hall is closed, then the petition is required to be filed by noon on the next city working day following August 8 or 15, as applicable. The city clerk or designee shall make a record of the exact time when each petition is filed.
