§ 4.11. Determination of election results.

  • (a)

    Number of votes. Every voter shall be entitled to vote for as many candidates for councilmembers-at-large as there are members-at-large to be elected to the council.

    (b)

    Returns; canvass. The council shall canvass the election returns and declare the results of any city election, regular or special, at a meeting to tie held not later than one week following such election. Those declared elected will be inducted into office at that time. Those elected shall insure for themselves that the old administration has properly adopted, amended and approved all minutes to which they were history, and if not satisfied with such, one or all newly elected officials shall promptly take action under the provisions of Section 3.7(b) of this Charter and F.S. § 286.011(2).
